What is english gematria

english gematria is a system of numerical associations used to quantify and give meaning to the English language. It is derived from ancient Kabbalistic numerology, and its unique combination of words and numbers provides a fascinating method for decoding words and phrases.

At its core, English Gematria assigns numerical values to letters of the alphabet, based off of their phonetic or numerical value as per their placement in the alphabet itself. The most common way to assign these values is A=1, B=2, C=3 etc. From these designated values each individual letter can be broken down into a single digit number so that entire words become the sum of all the individual letter's allocated numbers. For example: love (L=12, O=15, V=22, E=5) = 54.

Using this method you can assign a numerical value to any word or phrase in order to gain insight into it's true intrinsic nature or even predict it's outcome in certain circumstances. For example: Depending on which set of phonetic equivalents are used when creating the equation for the word "Success" (S-19+u-21+c-3+c-3+e-5+s-19+s-19) it could equal either 89 or 114, which are both prime numbers associated with success and great outcomes such as fame and fortune. Each letter always retains its same basic understanding regardless of language and thus explains why Gematria has been used for thousands of years by many different cultures all over the world when attempting decipher meaning from simple phrases or words.
